Survey Reveals Consumer Preference for the PharmaJet Needle-Free Flu Shot

GOLDEN, Colo. – February 26, 2015 Today, PharmaJet, the maker of innovative, needle-free injector technology, announced the release of survey data demonstrating consumer satisfaction with the PharmaJet Needle-Free Injector for seasonal flu vaccinations.

The surveys asked consumers who had just received a PharmaJet Needle-Free flu shot how satisfied they were with the experience, how likely they were to choose a PharmaJet Needle-Free flu shot again next year and how likely they would be to recommend a needle-free flu shot to family and friends. With nearly 1,500 surveys completed, the results are as follows:

  • 96% were satisfied with the experience.
  • 93% would choose it again.
  • 92% would recommend the needle-free flu shot to family and friends.

“The survey results point to the acceptance and preference for a needle-free flu shot option and represent a significant opportunity to expand influenza immunizations. In environments like pharmacies it provides the ability to attract new customers, particularly those with a reluctance to get injections with needles, which can subsequently increase store traffic,” said Ron Lowy, Chairman and CEO of PharmaJet, Inc. “The PharmaJet Needle-Free flu shot is safe for health care providers and patients, quick to administer, and the survey confirms that most patients would choose it again. We believe that offering a needle-free option can significantly increase flu shot compliance, as a recent report showed that nearly one-quarter of individuals avoid being vaccinated because they don’t like needles.”

This data was collected from surveys that were given to patients who had just received a flu shot with the PharmaJet Needle-Free Injector at select retail pharmacies, a university flu shot campaign event, a public health organization and a government research organization. Full survey results are available here.
