Golden, Colo. — January 7, 2016 — Needle-free flu shots using the PharmaJet Injection System were offered as an option at multiple corporate flu clinics this season including Ernst & Young (Phoenix, AZ), Jones Lang LaSalle (Denver, CO), and Provant (East Greenwich, RI).
Following the injection, participants were asked to complete a survey about their experience. Of those surveyed, 100 percent were satisfied and 93 percent said they would choose a needle-free flu shot again next year.
“We used the PharmaJet system in our own corporate flu clinic, as well as with one of our customers this year. We found that it was readily embraced by our employees, providers, and our customer and their clinic participants,” said Barbara Haydon, chief administration officer and senior vice president, Clinical Services at Provant.
“More than 20 percent of flu shots1 are now administered in a workplace setting which represents over 30 million shots annually. Corporate flu clinics are an important part of our commercial rollout for the PharmaJet Needle-free Injection System. Participants love the choice of a needle-free flu injection. Immunizers really like the technology because they can work fast and not worry about needles2,” said Ron Lowy, chairman and CEO of PharmaJet, Inc.
Because the PharmaJet Needle-free Injection System does not use any needles, it eliminates the possibility of needlestick injuries and provides individuals an alternative to receiving a flu vaccination in a way that reduces anxiety associated with needles. Additionally, the auto-disabling syringe precludes any possibility of syringe reuse. For more information on PharmaJet’s Needle-free Injector, please visit www.pharmajet.com.
